Which charr order to join
My ranger is whispers lol. I have done all three arcs and personally prefer the whispers arc. Posted by: OriOri. I sent my necro to priory and my rev to vigil. Every other class got to go order of whispers.
They are just much cooler for me. I mainly went Whispers or Vigil. He in my mind is not a military person. Posted by: Ardid. I decided my characters would be somewhat contrary to the norm, and their presonality grew around that. My Reaper is an old, cranky and obsesive guy from the College of Statics, always looking for stability and simplicity, and people to scare. He joined the Vigil because they are simpler, cleaner, predictable, and strong. He saw his minions, soulstealing and frightening shouts could become a nice complement to the fairly mundane tactics of the army.
My Guardian is a giant of an asura, as tall as a little human, and as dark as tar. My main is a really short female Engineer from the College of Dynamics. Since she likes to experiment new things all the time, exploring the world became her major focus.
She joined the Priory because she though they could support her search for knowledge, while she could offer them a good flamethrower to deal with all the dangerous things that populate the fringe of the known world. I love the detail you put into each class. Glade stalker came from the idea of patrolling the perimeter of his land. I imaging him concerned with keeping his land and people safe. Using tracking skills and observation to hunt any danger out. Posted by: AikoKirschtein.
He sounds like great Order of Whispers material! Since those who awakened in the Cycle of Night tend to be secretive and independent, and with a pet stalker at his side… He sounds like he prefers working quietly to keep everyone safe not much of a glory hound, is he? Posted by: Donari. There actually is a small effect later on from your Order choice, e. Whispers members get to talk to hidden agents and go through a secret door or two.
They try not to face the dragons with sheer force but believe that the only way to win is to put the dragons back to sleep. The Order of Whispers rely on stealth espionage and other related tricks to execute their plans. The Durmand Priory are a group of scholars and historians and the second oldest of the three orders. Members of the priory believe that through knowledge and history there may be a solution to the elder dragons.
There are many organizations throughout Tyria that can only be found in certain areas. These organizations often serve to protect the citizens of a city or, inversely, have the goal wrecking havoc on nearby innocents.
The Seraph are the largest human military organization within the kingdom of Kryta. The organization is under the direct control of the Queen, in this case Queen Jennah. If need be the Queen can give command a single, high-ranking officer like Captain Logan Thackeray who currently serves as the commander of the Seraph.
The Wardens protect the inhabitants of the Grove , the Sylvari 's capital city. Like the Seraph of Kryta , Wardens stretch through out the entirety of the Maguuma Jungle and are lead by firstborn Niamh. While that's certainly their preferred method, the reasons behind it are because they seek to protect Tyrians from things that Tyrians would be better off not knowing existed.
In essence, they deal with the creatures under your bed, so that you grow up believing there was nothing under the bed all along. Work in the shadows, both directly agents acting against the Dragons and indirectly maneuvering other people into helping them against the Dragons. If the story is what motivates you, use that to help decide. Indeed, it's worth seeing all their stories at least once, if you wish to make alts to do so.
While it does seem that some professions would naturally gravitate to specific orders, it's not necessarily the case. The Vigil needs tacticians as much as frontline warriors, and the scholars of the Priory are often involved in research in hostile areas, so knowing how to fight is an asset.
And who would ever expect a Whispers agent who doesn't fit anyone's idea of what a Whispers agent should be? User Info: jokrayz. Duke Darkwood posted It's how you flesh out the story that makes it so.
It was awesome. A soldier who prefers close up fights without the heavy armor holding her down? Wow, I wish I had known that sooner. I was inactive during that time so it went completely over my head. Thanks for clarifying! User Info: Aureal. Why make different characters for different weight classes? Surely you can buy light armor with a heavy character and so forth! Sure, you get nothing for it but the ability to use the skin from your wardrobe, but isn't that the point?
Not like you're likely going to be using them for their stats Behold the mythical art of quad-wielding and its dodecarrow storm! I believe Aureal is right. When you salvage an item, it goes into your wardrobe, so even if you buy armor from a different weight class, you can still add it to your wardrobe by salvaging it. This means that you really only need three characters to complete the entire order armor collection.
I don't think you can salvage the Order stuff- I just bought a Whispers weapon a couple days ago and it won't let me salvage it, like karma items. But the skin was unlocked just by buying it since it's automatically soulbound.
User Info: cpg2. Aureal posted You can't. So it's an expensive proposition to get all the skins with absolutely nothing coming back to help offset the costs almost 80 gold total? But you can do it with any weight class, that's for sure. You just have to hit an extra dialog box that warns you you can't use this armor and still say "ok" for each piece.
