Why do i have 999 ping

Someday I'll fix my problem, but it hasn't bothered me too much. I used to have crappy netgear and a different usb dongle awhile back and never had issues like this. So it could be a combination of the hardware I'm using. The odd server I get lucky and can play on.

Zombies Plants vs. Zombies 2 Plants vs. But for the last week or two, every minutes my ping randomly skyrockets to for about a minute straight, and my tank drives itself during that time, and it has caused my death many, many times.

Driving in front of enemies tends to kill you. It says ping but from my guesstimate its actually nearer to K ping, some of the worse spikes are probably 5K or more. I legit can't play the game, and it's so annoying because I was just starting to become a decent player capable of carrying battles and actually doing things for my team, but now I can't do that because I can't even drive into position without stopping and waiting for my ping to calm down.

My questions are: Is this happening to anyone else? Is it my internet or WG's server? How can I fix this? Thank you for your time.
