Why imports are better than muscle

To raise compression, you MUST add octane to prevent detonation. That's me. A few of my friends have Supras that are running faster then you could ever hope to go. In fact, it was the government that felt emissions weren't needed. When stricter emissions standards came about, power wasn't dropped because they wanted to run on low octane fuel. It was dropped because at the time, they didn't know HOW to make lotsa power and still pass emissions.

They were forced to drop the power in order to meet emissions standards. You, me and everyone else on this board KNOW you didn't come on here to do that. You came on here to start a bitching war. A war thats already been done WAY too many times And you have to remember even though your civic turbo si runs 13's and you say can hang with a z06, it still cant stop or take curves like a z06! ZO6's dont run 13's either. I dont doubt an import can run 12s on 93 octane. My friends Supra used to do it all the time.

So did my car My hell this has turned into a flamewar once again. Just my. This is because theres a little something that affects every aspect of our lives, including cars Mazda vs. Chevy would make sense, Toyota vs. This flame however, is so broad that there will always be an exception to sway your argument no matter what youre supporting When i first came to this board, it wasnt all Imp vs. I was just saying that any suped up car has to run on higher octane!

Post a comment. Add to favorites. Especially on a wet track day, where you can get the back end out on every corner for some good old FF slides. You really can get this amount of fun for a relatively low cost, I think that relates back to my character, as I want to have fun, but not really down to drop hundreds of dollars on alcohol to spend a night in a club. I want to be accepted, but at the same time do things that I want to do things on my own terms, and I bet a lot of you feel this way sometimes too.

Not a whole lot is unique about it, other than the fact that I have an iPad installed in the dash, which, to my knowledge is yet to be done on another Mazda 3.

I recently watch an interview with former Fast and Furious star: Sung Kang a. This interview happened at SEMA where he was talking about his recently finished project car which was a wide body Datsun z.

The interviewer asked the question. Sung Kang and his friends who had built the car had an attraction to the z, and he mentions that the car was just always a part of their generation because they saw it driving up and down the street.

That being said, I think a large amount of our taste in vehicles depends on our surrounding environment as kids. The car that my parents owned when i was a kid was a old Chevrolet Jimmy. But I was exposed to the world of sports cars when I started playing video games. I think seeing how fast the cars went, the way I could modify them, and the crowd of people cheering me on when I won a race really got to me as a kid. I think my 5 year old self really developed a liking towards these cars that I drove in the game.

I want my readers to think about this right now, what is your dream car? Given the information that I have stated above, is there a personality trait that you share with the car? Or a memory that creates attraction to that specific car? Why get worried about crap like that? I bet he gets all down when he sees GTs and gets all defensive, lighten up.

You have the stupidest post on here that I have ever seen. You are saying that a ticking time bomb hp Honda Civic can make twice as much power as a American muscle car. You need to take your head out of your ass. A bigger engine equals more potential power and torque. And a old school V8 is the way to go to make a bullet proof engine. A hp Honda 4 banger is going to tear itself apart with that much power sooner or later. And you say that muscle cars can't make any power? Well let me see here.

The Hemi is hugely underrated at hp when it actually makes well over hp. The Chevrolet L88 is hugely underrated at hp when it really makes hp. And all the small and big block engines in the muscle cars had huge potential.

And God knows how much insanse torque you would be making. And this is retaining the stock block. The Lingenfelter Corvette Twin Turbo makes hp and lb-ft of torque and runs in 3. It still retains the stock engine block. The V10 has twin turbos bolted on and runs in 2 seconds, in 5 seconds and covers the quarter mile in 8.
